Today we offer our sincere congratulations to Marek Zbanski who qualified recently to represent Ireland in the Sir Otto Lund First Aid competition in Belfast. This a first for the St John's Ambulance Corp in Cork, of which Marek is a valued member.
We absolutely salute Marek and this achievement comes as no surprise to anyone who knows him. In fact, he is a driving force behind our Green Schools Committee and addressed the parents recently at our Open Night.
Congratulations to the Zbanski family and to Marek and St Johns Ambulance Cork Division as well.
Pictured are Marek with Mr Micheál Ó Ciardha (PríomhOide)
The Corn Ui Mhuiri, Senior Football Muster Colleges got underway today and we started with a good battle against Coláiste Choilm , Ballincollig.
Chríost Rí shaded a very tight game by a single point 1-14 to 1-13.
Well done to all players involved as well as to Mr Kerrigan and Mr Coughlan.
Here we see Ronan Dalton and Fiachra Ó Cróinín ready to contest a throw-up from the referee.
The Under 16 Hurlers performed heroically last week, losing a tight game against Ballincollig Community School but we have a small video to mark them and also to praise their contribution to the school.
Hard luck lads and well done.
Each year the Lord Mayor of Cork visits the school.
This is a proud tradition and one of the highlights of the year for our students and staff. Long may it continue!!
Last week , the present Lord Mayor, Cllr Tony Fitzgerald took time from his very busy schedule to visit the school where he was welcomed by our Students Council as well as by our Principal Micheál Ó Ciardha. The visit is pictured below.
We thank the Lord Mayor for paying us this honour and we wish him every success in his year ahead.
We close the preparation time for the game with this famous kit.
We see David Moylan with the kit worn by his uncle John Hodgins in the 1980s.
Again best to all on Sunday
