On Friday last, and just ahead of Science week, Dr Aidan Quinn of the Tyndall Institute in Cork addressed the Fifth and Sixth Year Chemistry students in our Library . He gave a lecture and demonstration on Nanotechnology. It was a great occasion and the students learned first hand about the areas of both Microchip and nanotechnology. Dr Quinn would be well known to some of the students as a member of Nemo Rangers and that, added to the fact thae we have always had a great working relationship with the Tyndall Institute resulted in a very enjoyable day in the school. Our thanks here to Ms Joy Callanan and Ms Aoife O Donovan, Science teachers for organising the event.
