Coláiste Chríost Rí is an inclusive Voluntary Secondary School, and offers places on the basis of a wide range of criteria. While there is a certain level of mixed-ability teaching, we opt preferentially for a teaching strategy based on streaming. We evaluate the ability and the attainments of all prospective students.

If you wish to enroll your son in Coláiste Chríost Rí, please complete an Application Form (available from the office or at the schools information evening, held in the Autumn of each year). Kindly send it to us with the appropriate application fee to defray processing. We will let you know within one or two weeks of the closing date if numbers allow us to offer your son a place. We do not charge School Fees (Coláiste Chríost Rí is in the Free Education Scheme), but because of inadequate funding, we must ask parents to help us meet school debts.

Guidance Counsellors will meet your boy in early February and will administer a series of standard tests. The principal will send you a Book List and some other useful information. If you have any queries or concerns, please contact us, and we will do our best to help you.
