Coláiste Chríost Rí – A Presentation Brothers Schools Trust (PBST) school
Coláiste Chríost Rí is an evolving Christian community committed to the ministry of Catholic Education. We cherish highly an ethos based on Gospel values. We pursue especially academic and sporting excellence within a unique Gaelic culture and tradition. We seek to promote full participation in all aspects of school life, bringing about the balanced development of each person. Our vision is Christian and Gaelic.
On our school crest, these aspirations are encapsulated in the motto, "Adveniat Regnum Tuum". Go dtaga do Ríocht is an acknowledgement of the need for God's grace and power to be experienced as a strength in our personal lives and in our shared lives with others. The challenge for our culturing and Christening community is to respect the personal dignity of all, to value equally every person and to give pupils, parents and teachers a sense of belonging.
Central to this challenge, is our belief that in all aspects of education excellence is the basic ingredient in the ethos of Coláiste Chríost Rí. Our Curriculum tries to maintain a creative balance between preparation for the workplace and the development of the person. We acknowledge the decisive role of parents as partners with management and teachers in this educational endeavour.

Today was agreat day for the Transition Years .
Johnny Holland, past pupil and former Munster rugby player called in to give expert advice on nutrition.
Apart from being a great sportsman, Johnny has always been a great character and we congratulate him on his new role.
We wish him well in the future.
One of our eminent past - pupils, we are always delighted to see him call in for a chat.
The Transition Years certainly learned a lot today.
We congratulate the 2018 mentors on another great year this year. They have guided the young entrants in theb school from the beginning of the yar and also welcomed the visiting Primary school students over the past few days,

It would be very remiss of us not to include a photograph of the students and teachers in UCC on Saturday
Its a true partnership with the lads putting in huge efforts with the incredible support of Mr Linehan and Mr Kelly.
So, here we are and well done to all.
At what was a truly wonderful occasion in University Colege Cork, on Saturday last, Coláiste Chríost Rí played a central role at the Famine Memorial Event.
The event itself was a memorable occasion adorned by great ceremonial as well as an inspirational oration from Uachtarán na hEireann , Micheal D O hUigín.
Following this, the teachers and parents accompanied the students as they made their way to attend their excellent presentation on the Famine , which was duly visited by President O hUigín as well as Professor Patrick O Shea , President of University College Cork, (and past pupil of Coláiste Chríost Rí)
Uachtarán Ó hUigín then presented the school with a signed copy of 'The Atlas of the Irish Famine' (edited by another past pupil John Crowley of the Department of Geography UCC.)
We are immensely proud of the students involved , who at all times on Saturday conducted themselves with a maturity beyond their years.
Our sincere congratulations go also to Mr Seamas Ó Leannacháin and to Mr Barra O Ceallaigh.
The students , pictured here with Uachtarán na hEireann Micheál D O hUigín, as Professor O Shea prepares the presentation, were Ben O Conchúir, Marc Ó Conchúir, Sean Meskell, Seosamh Mac Cafraigh, Luke Ó Éaalaithe and Luke O Donnchú.
It was a truly memorable day - one that will live long in the memory.
We are delighted to publish this photograph involving two of Coláiste Chríost Rí's finest past pupils.
Here, Professor Patrick O Shea , President of UCC presents the 'Graduate of the Year 2017' award Kyle Malone.
Both men are past - pupils and, needless to say, we are immensely proud of both.
