Coláiste Chríost Rí is delighted to announce that we will re-open as scheduled on August 26th 2020. Wednesday August 26th will be a staff training day, which will allow all members of staff to become familiar with all the new procedures and practices that will be in place for 2020/21. Many changes, both organisational and structural are being made to ensure a safe re-opening for students, staff and all members of our school community.
Each family will receive further details by post in the week beginning Monday 17th August and all students will attend assemblies on their return where they too will receive information and instructions on the new day to day procedures of daily life in school. Returning to school this year will be a new experience for us all, but we are very conscious that for our new entrants, they are not only entering a new school but they are leaving their old familiar school also. To this end we have organised to meet the new students and one Parent/Guardian in small groups, next Wednesday 19th August. Details will be included in the pack sent to each family.
Code of Positive Behaviour
All Parents/Guardians and students are asked to make themselves familiar with the recently revised Code of Behaviour, now called the Code of Positive Behaviour, [available here or in hardcopy from the school office on request]. As the name suggests, the revised policy re-emphasises our restorative approach to encouraging good behaviour in a manner that is both firm but humane and fair. All Parents/Guardians & students must sign the acceptance form which will be sent to each family by post. Each student MUST return this signed form on the first day of his return to school
